5783/2022 High Holidays - Non-Member Registration

High Holidays 2022/5783
Our University Synagogue congregation will once again be able to join together as a community in prayer in our sanctuary, while simultaneously offering the synagogue experience via live streaming.

To ensure the safety of our congregants and guests, the following guidelines will be in place for our services:

  • All attendees must be pre-registered
  • All attendees ages 5 and up must be fully vaccinated* and must show their vaccination card and ticket at the door
  • All attendees must wear masks covering their nose and mouth at all time
These guidelines are subject to change based on local, state and national health recommendations.

*The definition of “fully vaccinated” at University Synagogue means any person who is age eligible and five months (Pfizer/Moderna) past their original fully vaccinated status will need to have received a third shot (booster) of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine and be one week post injection in order to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Johnson & Johnson recipients will need to have received a second shot (booster) if they are two months past their original fully vaccinated status.

“May the Memories of Our Loved Ones Be for a Blessing”

It is a mitzvah to honor our beloved deceased relatives and friends by reciting Yizkor (memorial prayers) on Yom Kippur afternoon.

The 5783/2022 Yizkor Memorial Book will include all names that were listed last year.

Please add any additional names you would like included in the Yizkor Memorial Book for anyone who passed away more than a year ago, or anyone who has passed away since September 15, 2021.

Please submit this form no later than September 28 to ensure adequate time to update the Yizkor Memorial Book.

Tzedakah (charity) in memory of the deceased is a great mitzvah – for out of the sadness of death comes hope for the living who are in need. Please enter your voluntary donation in memory of your loved one(s) who are listed in our Yizkor Book.

To ensure that you and your family can follow each service, we recommend that you have your own machzorim (High Holidays prayerbooks), Kol Haneshamah, Prayerbook for the Days of Awe.

Books can either be downloaded at no charge from our website on our High Holiday page or purchased from the synagogue @ $65 per book.

Purchased books should be picked up at High Holiday services.
