Back by popular demand, University Synagogue’s 12th Biblical Trial Summons you to return as a Juror in this year’s compelling case.

Was building the Tower of Babel a rebellion against God? Was it a power grab? God created people to inhabit the earth, but did not anticipate such abuse of power. Join us to find out why the Tower was the last straw.

For the plaintiffs or for the defendants? Join the jury and help render a verdict.

Watch the drama unfold! Legal eagles, Professor Laurie Levenson and Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, will present the evidence and argue the case in a thought-provoking and entertaining debate over the legal and ethical questions at stake.  Finally, you, the jury, will decide this important biblical case

After submission of the “evidence,” Rabbi Arnold Rachlis will lead a lively discussion with a panel of experts on the moral, ethical and philosophical issues raised by this case.
