7:00 p.m. “Thanksgiving Shabbat,” led by Rabbi Rachlis and Cantor Braier, with readings that will focus on gratitude, and the topic will be “A Guide For The Perplexed To The Middle East.” All of us are feeling anger, pain and confusion about what will happen next in the Israel-Hamas war. We want all of the hostages in Gaza released as soon as possible and we eventually want Israel to live in peace.

How do we get from here to there? What needs to happen now to create a plan for “The Day After?” How do we feel about the extensive loss of life during this war and will peace between Israelis and Palestinians become further away than ever? Are there things that America, Israel, Palestinians, and the Arab States can offer that will help heal the pain and lead to a future without continual war?

Rabbi Rachlis will speak about these issues at services and then will ask those in attendance to share their feelings, ask questions, and make comments. Over the last few weeks, Rabbi Rachlis has heard from so many of you with diverse concerns, ranging from anti-Semitism in America, to the loss of Palestinian and Israeli lives, to the barbarism of the Hamas murderers to worries about Israel’s future.

Let’s get together and share our opinions, hopes and fears.

Our Oneg Shabbat will be sponsored by the Martin Family in honor of Layla becoming a Bat Mitzvah.
