“Honoring Cantor Ruti Braier Shabbat Alive Services” with our band, led by Rabbi Rachlis and Cantor Braier, during which we will honor Cantor Braier who will be interviewed by Barbara Cohen of Women’s Connection.  We all know and love Cantor Braier, but not many know about her noteworthy accomplishments and unique background that brought her to her present position as Cantor and musical inspiration for University Synagogue. Her personal and musical journey started in Argentina and continued in Israel and Southern California. Cantor Braier has been the lead singer for two Jewish rock groups, and has earned degrees in Judaica, music and music therapy. Barbara Cohen will interview Cantor Braier, so please join us for this special evening to both honor and learn more about our beloved Cantor. Our Choir and Young Cantors will also sing in honor of Cantor Braier.
