6:30 PM - 8:00 PMUniversity SynagogueJoin us for Shabbat Services at University Synagogue as we gather in celebration with the Werschmidt family. Brayden Werschmidt will help lead the service as he prepares to be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah the following morning. Come share in the joy, community, and spirit of this meaningful milestone in Brayden’s Jewish journey.
This special Shabbat will also include a preview performance of Violins of Hope—a powerful project featuring over 60 restored string instruments once owned and played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust. These instruments, each with a unique story of resilience and remembrance, will be at the heart of a deeply moving series of concerts, educational programs, and community events, presented in collaboration with the Philharmonic Society of Orange County—including the final quartet concert at University Synagogue on Tuesday, June 10th.
Our Oneg Shabbat will be sponsored by the Werschmidt Family in honor of Brayden becoming a Bar Mitzvah.
