Pre-Basic Judaism and Beyond High Holy Days Informational Classes

pomDon’t miss our Pre-Basic Judaism and Beyond discussion group about the significance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Wednesday, August 30
7:00-9:00 pm: Rosh Hashanah

Wednesday, September 13
7:00-9:00 pm: Yom Kippur

Everyone is invited to attend, free of charge.

We will look at the how and why we celebrate:
Why these prayers?
Do I wear a tallit?
What is fasting all about?
How many blasts are there on the Shofar and what do they mean?
Are the Torah portions the same every year?
Why do the dates keep moving around?
