$26,418 in Year-end Donations

Donated in 10 Days

As the calendar year draws to a close, it is time for us as a community to reflect on the many ways in which University Synagogue enriches our lives.

There are many joyous hours spent with friends and family through vibrant havurot, uplifting holidays, and by celebrating lifecycle events. We are continually inspired by our dynamic rabbi and heart-warming cantor, and we are also supported by them and many from our congregation in times of difficulty and illness.

The synagogue is our second home, for so many of us a place of comfort and spiritual nourishment, and our home is aging and in need of TLC.

Our Year-end giving campaign runs through December 31.

The funds raised will be used to maintain and improve our University Synagogue campus and support our newly hired security guard.  We moved into our building 13 years ago and, just like our own residences, maintenance and repairs are needed, almost on a daily basis lately.

Top priority projects are:
• Support increased Security
• Resurfacing the parking lot and adding some additional disabled parking spaces
• Painting the building inside and out
• New carpeting
• Ongoing roof repairs

Please kick off this holiday season by making a personally meaningful contribution or whatever you can afford to help us meet our need to make some significant and necessary improvements to our home. We simply can’t do it without you. We are the caretakers of our community. We need to create a warm and welcoming home now and for the next generation. Your support will make a real difference.

Gifts of appreciated stock and IRA distributions may have significant tax benefits. Consideration of a Legacy Gift through your estate plan, IRA or life insurance would also be appreciated. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
