“When A Child Dies” will be Rabbi Rachlis’ topic at Shabbat services
June 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
“When A Child Dies” will be Rabbi Rachlis’ topic at Shabbat services when he interviews a panel of University Synagogue members, whose children have died during their teen or young adult years, and how their parents coped with their loss. At University Synagogue, we’ve experienced the death of a number of young people over the last few years and we’ve mourned, as a community, with their families. Let’s learn, from those who have faced their and our worst fears, how to cherish the all-too-short lives of loved ones and how they have found comfort and used their experiences to comfort others. Let’s come to services to listen, speak, learn and support those on the panel and others whose children have passed away. Our panelists will include Gideon Bernstein and Jeanne Pepper Bernstein, Dan Hodes, Dr. Howard Rothfeder and Michele Walot.
